Universal Title is the trade name for Capital Area Title, LLC, a title insurance agency formed in 1977. Universal Title performs all the clerical duties with regard to the preparation of real estate settlements, conducts the closings, and handles receipt and disbursement of funds. Universal Title is an approved title insurance agent for Chicago Title Insurance Company and Stewart Title Guaranty Company. Universal Title twice has been named to Chicago Title's President's Agents Council, based on quality and volume of work, an honor that is reserved for Chicago Title's top 5% of agents nationwide.
